LS PTA General Assembly outlines accomplishments and upcoming initiatives

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) General Assembly held on August 31, 2025, brought together faculty, PTA officers, parents, and guardians to review accomplishments and discuss upcoming initiatives at the Laboratory Schools–College of Teacher Education, University of Northern Philippines. The event was led by LS-PTA President, Mr. Stephen C. Tabios and Dr. Aurelia T. Vitamog, Laboratory School Principal, who both expressed their appreciation for the continued support and trust in the school for the academic year 2025-2026.

During the assembly, Tabios highlighted the PTA’s recent achievements and presented the guidelines for providing financial assistance to students participating in sports and academic competitions. He also shared plans for an upcoming project that involves installing steel doors and curtains at the LS Building to improve the school’s facilities.

PTA Treasurer Deovino Medrano presented the organization’s financial statement, giving members a clear overview of funds and expenditures.

The assembly concluded with Dr. Vitamog emphasizing the importance of parental support in strengthening the PTA’s initiatives and enhancing the school’s programs. She noted that this collaboration motivates the Laboratory Schools to continue providing high-quality education and nurturing a positive learning environment. Special acknowledgment was also given to the University Administration for providing a new building, a significant milestone in the school’s growth following the 2022 earthquake.

The assembly reinforced the strong partnership between parents, faculty, and the University, highlighting a shared commitment to the development of students and the improvement of school facilities and programs.
