Moral Re-Engineering Seminar empowers CAS Faculty

The College of Arts and Sciences faculty advanced holistic development through the Zoom seminar-workshop “Moral Re-Engineering & Mindfulness: Empowering Minds, Strengthening Values, Cultivating Awareness” on March 30, 2026.

Jointly organized by the Psychology Program (Dr. Christian Gea Florentino, head) and Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy (Dr. Chase Mark Suyat, head), the event tackled mental clarity, ethical grounding, and resilience amid academia’s demands.

Resource speaker Dr. Eileen Tupaz, a renowned clinical psychologist, mindfulness teacher, wellness consultant, and coach, spotlighted mindfulness for self-awareness, emotional regulation, and intentional living—boosting personal well-being and professional impact.

Central was “moral re-engineering,” urging educators to realign values against modern challenges. Guided discussions and exercises equipped participants with tools to weave mindfulness into routines and teaching.

Faculty praised the timely insights, valuing theoretical depth alongside practical strategies for a mindful, values-driven community.

Organizers affirmed such initiatives nurture intellectually sharp, emotionally balanced, ethically rooted educators—vital for shaping future generations.
