VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur — The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) emerged as the Overall Champion of the 2025 Math-Science Quiz Bowl organized by the Philippine Consortium for Science, Mathematics, and Technology held from April 2 up to April 4, 2025, at the University of Northern Philippines.
The highly competitive academic event gathered top teams from various state universities and colleges across the Philippines, all vying for distinction in mathematics, science, and technology.
Joining NEUST in the winners’ circle as top-performing institutions were Batangas State University – The National Engineering University secured the first runner-up placement, while Palawan State University clinched second runner-up title, Central Luzon State University then finished as third runner-up, and Bulacan State University settles as fourth runner-up.
Trophies were awarded to the overall top five SUCs, recognizing their outstanding performance, teamwork, and academic excellence across the quiz bowl categories.
The awarding took place during the closing segment of the Chairmanship Turnover Ceremony on April 4, where university presidents, coaches, and faculty joined in celebrating the student participants’ accomplishments.
The quiz bowl was more than just a contest—it highlighted PCSMT’s core values of collaboration, excellence, and innovation in STEM education. As the consortium transitions to a new chapter under the leadership of UNP, the 2025 quiz bowl sets a strong foundation for continued academic engagement among SUCs nationwide.
