New graduate students welcomed

 

The Office of Student Affairs and Services through the Guidance Counselling Services and Information and Orientation Services conducted the Panangpasangbay 2024, a General Orientation Program for New Students–Graduate Studies for the Second Term, School Year 2023-2024 at the UNP Auditorium on March 9, 2024.

This activity aimed to formally welcome the new students in the university; acquaint them with the essential information about the university; facilitate their adjustment in another phase of their educational endeavor; and initiate their integration into the academic, cultural, and social climate of the University.

The program began with the warm welcome words of Dr. Mariano Paterno Avila, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services. He expressed his happiness and excitement in welcoming the new students.

The Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling students led an energizer to set the mood of the participants. The Public Information Office discussed the University’s history, vision, mission, quality policy, and officials through an audio-visual presentation.

Ms. Laarnie Roque, Registar III discussed the general academic policies and procedures, while Dr. Ma. Teresa Susan Manzano, CTE Dean, talked about additional academic policies and procedures for graduate studies. Further, Student Services were discussed by Dr. Rodel Rosario, Guidance Services Specialist II.

There was also an audiovisual presentation about the Library, Medical, Dental and Campus Security Services, Data Privacy Act, and Student Council projects.
