UNP admin holds seminar-workshop for non-teaching personnel

After a seminar on work ethics held in Baguio City on December 8–9, 2023 participated in by the University of Northern Philippines non-teaching personnel, another seminar-workshop cum team building was held on March 8, 2024 at Paradise Viewdeck Resort in San Juan, Ilocos Sur to revitalize them in optimizing government transactions and processes.

The activity was dubbed as “Streamlining Administrative Roles and Task: A Seminar-Workshop on Optimizing Government Transactions & Processes Cum Team Building.”

Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, stressed the importance of the seminar-workshop and team building in “creating a UNP team that is interconnected and reliant to each other. This is a meaningful and impactful activity with fun and enjoyment that establishes camaraderie and social interaction and a unique learning opportunity.”

Mr. Albert Tejero, VP for Finance and Administration, emphasized that “the activity will be useless without translating them to quality outputs.” He urged the participants to make the activity a fruitful one.

The first topic discussed was “COA Requirements for Various Financial Activities of UNP” delivered by Dr. Larraine Aguimatang. Likewise, Ms. Melissa Pascua, Ms. Mona Briones, and Ms. La Paz Eulalia Aquino discussed the “COA Circular No. 2023 – 004, Prescribing the Updated Documentary Requirements for Common Government Transactions.”

In the afternoon, Dr. Marifel Quemi-Acena and the Guidance Services Office personnel facilitated the team building and culminating activities where the participants strengthened their bonds by showing the spirit of unity in their teams.
