OBAS brings pride with Outstanding Club award and individual honors at UNESCO 2025

The Organization of Business Administration Students (OBAS) has been honored as the Outstanding Club for UNESCO 2025 in the College Level – Education Category, a testament to its exceptional commitment to transforming education, inspiring youth leadership, and championing global citizenship.

The OBAS received the prestigious Outstanding Club for UNESCO 2025 award during the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U) held from November 21 to 23, 2025 at the Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. The annual global gathering spotlighted youth leadership, cultural exchange, and advocacy initiatives that advance UNESCO’s mission, bringing together young changemakers from around the world.

OBAS members shone brightly on the national stage, with standout individual performances that further elevated the organization’s distinction. RJ Viaje captured 2nd Runner-Up honors in the highly competitive On-the-Spot Essay Making Contest, while Jhon Wilbert Alcartado also clinched 2nd Runner-Up in the Spoken Word Poetry Competition. Their achievements reflect not only personal mastery but also the organization’s firm dedication to foster creativity, critical thinking, and articulate expression—hallmarks of OBAS’s commitment to shaping leaders who excel both in ideas and action.

Representing the University with distinction, the official delegates of the Organization of Business Administration Students (OBAS) showcased both talent and dedication on the national stage. The team—comprising RJ Viaje, Samantha Gil Mateo, Jhon Wilbert Alcartado, Hailey Danielle Pacioles, Hailey Ysabelle Pacioles, and Marvil Cortez—excelled under the expert guidance of their adviser, Mr. Jhonniño Serdenia, and faculty mentor Mr. John Paul Robert Marzan. Their participation not only highlighted individual achievements but also emphasizedOBAS’s enduring commitment to excellence and institutional pride.

The success of OBAS and its representatives reflects the collaborative efforts of students and faculty who continue to uphold the values of academic excellence, creative expression, and meaningful participation in international youth initiatives.
