Project LA.P.I.S. launched in Nagtupacan and Pudoc Elementary Schools

 

The Admission Services Office, in collaboration with the University Extension Office, conducted Project (Lapis para sa Pangarap ng mga Ilokanong eStudyante) LA.P.I.S., an extension program on donating pencils to elementary pupils in the province of Ilocos Sur and focusing on improving interpersonal skills, at Pudoc Elementary School and Nagtupacan Elementary School in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur on August 8, 2024.

The initiative aimed to provide essential school supplies to young learners, symbolizing hope and support for their academic pursuits. The program also concentrated on improving interpersonal skills, which are crucial for effective communication and appropriate behavior among students. This dual focus highlights the University’s commitment to nurturing not only the educational needs of pupils but also their social development.

The activity was facilitated by Ms. Rain Alviar, Ms. Anne Kleire Rafanan, and Prof. May Evelia Ruadap, who underscored the University’s dedication to supporting elementary education in Ilocos Sur. Their efforts are part of a broader initiative to enhance the educational journey of students across the province.

Both Pudoc and Nagtupacan Elementary Schools expressed their gratitude for the support received from UNP. School representatives conveyed their eagerness to strengthen this partnership further, indicating a mutual desire to collaborate on future educational initiatives.
