On June 4, the spotlight shines on Cluster III as the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA), the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), the College of Public Administration and Development (CPAD), and the College of Law (CLAW) come together for their joint graduation ceremony. This event marks a significant event for students who have dedicated years to mastering the intricacies of business, hospitality, public service, and legal studies.
Graduates from CBAA have honed their analytical and managerial skills, preparing to lead organizations and drive economic growth. CHTM students step forward with expertise in global hospitality and tourism, ready to innovate and elevate the industry. CPAD’s graduates are equipped with the knowledge and values to serve the public and foster sustainable development. Meanwhile, CLAW’s aspiring legal professionals are poised to uphold justice and advocate for the rule of law.
Hon. Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal, Director IV, Civil Service Commission Regional Office I, the guest of honor and speaker of Cluster III highlighted a crucial lesson for graduates, “true success is not measured by academic accolades alone.” While medals and grades are commendable, Dr. Hedy stressed that, “building credibility and developing strong character [is important].” Continuous learning and integrity form the foundation of a meaningful life. “Education, therefore, is not just about intelligence but also about cultivating virtues that enable one to contribute positively to society” — assonates humility in every juncture and the promise to be a beacon of light in the people in need, hence, are we of intelligence or of character?
Graduates were encouraged to seek deeper purpose in their lives. Success is not solely personal achievement but involves helping others, engaging with the community, and giving back. Dr. Lardizabal’s message is clear, stating that, “finding meaning in life’s events—both good and bad—empowers individuals to grow and make a difference.”
The Cluster III graduation is more than just a celebration of academic achievement—it is a testament to the power of diverse disciplines uniting for a common purpose. As these graduates cross the stage, they symbolize the future of business, hospitality, governance, and legal practice, bringing together a unique blend of skills and perspectives. The ceremony serves as an inspiration for future students and a reminder of the value of collaboration across fields. June 4 will be remembered as a day of unity, pride, and anticipation for the bright futures ahead.
