UNP-CBAA graduate programs undergo level IV accreditation
The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of the University of Northern Philippines marked another milestone as its Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) and Master in Business Administration (MBA) programs underwent successful Level IV accreditation revisit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).
The online accreditation survey visit was conducted from December 4 to December 6, 2024, a testament to the CBAA’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Leading the preparations and discussions were Dr. Erwin Tolbe, college dean, alongside with the area chairs, program heads, unit coordinators, and faculty members who played vital roles in the revisit.
The esteemed panel of AACCUP accreditors was comprised of two lead accreditors, Dr. Agnes Arellano and Dr. Sisebabdo Nasabgcap Jr., alongside team leaders Dr. Raquel Ramos and Dr. Marife Garcia. Together, they meticulously evaluated the programs’ compliance with last year’s recommendations and assessed their readiness for reaccreditation.
The Quality Management Office, headed by Dr. Eva Marie Avila, facilitated the revisit, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the process. During the survey, accreditors scrutinized the programs’ responses to previous recommendations. The DBA and MBA program chairs confidently presented their action plans and improvements, earning positive feedback from the evaluators.
The event concluded with a pledge of commitment by UNP President Dr. Erwin Cadorna, reaffirming the university’s dedication to academic quality and continuous improvement. Dr. Fatima Rocamora, VPRE, delivered heartfelt closing remarks, commending the collective efforts of the CBAA team.
The reaccreditation revisit underscores UNP’s steadfast pursuit of excellence in business education, further solidifying its reputation as a leading institution in the region.
