UNP Celebrates Success of GCLE and PLE Passers in Joint Thanksgiving and Testimonial Rites

The University of Northern Philippines celebrated the achievements of its new board passers in a joint thanksgiving and testimonial program held on October 8, 2025 at the CTECH Function Hall. The event honored the University’s successful passers of the Guidance Counselor Licensure Examination (GCLE) and Psychometrician Licensure Examination (PLE), recognizing their hard work, perseverance, and dedication that brought pride to UNP.

The event, spearheaded by the BS Psychology Program of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), served as a meaningful tribute to faith, perseverance, and academic excellence. Faculty members, students, and University officials came together to celebrate the success of the board passers, particularly UNP’s pride — Danica Pearl P. Ricod (Top 8), Arden Joana T. Adriatico (Top 10), Clarence B. Elvena (Top 10), and Raymond Bill V. Marquez (Top 10) — who earned national distinction for the University in the 2025 Psychometrician Licensure Examination.

The program opened with a thanksgiving prayer, offering gratitude to God for His divine guidance and blessings throughout the journey of the examinees. Setting an inspiring tone for the celebration, University President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna lauded the newly licensed Psychometricians and Guidance Counselors for their perseverance, dedication, and steadfast faith. He highlighted that their remarkable achievements—particularly those of the topnotchers—stand as a testament to the University’s enduring commitment to excellence, integrity, and service. Dr. Cadorna further encouraged the honorees to embody the core values of the University of Northern Philippines—competence, compassion, and social responsibility—as they embark on their professional paths and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Dean of CAS Dr. Remedios Navarro delivered an inspiring message, expressing profound pride and heartfelt congratulations to the new board passers for bringing honor and distinction to the University. She lauded their perseverance and dedication, emphasizing that their achievement reflects both personal excellence and the institution’s enduring commitment to quality education. Adding an emotional touch to the celebration, selected board passers took the stage to share their moving testimonies—each one filled with gratitude to their mentors, families, and the entire University community whose guidance and support fueled their success.

The event concluded with a fellowship meal and photo opportunities, marking a day of joy, thanksgiving, and pride — a true testament to UNP’s culture of excellence and dedication.
