UNP Guidance Counselors and alumni are making their mark at the 60th Annual National Conference and 2025 International Conference of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association, Inc. (PGCA), held from May 21 to 23, 2025, at The Manila Hotel and St. Scholastica’s College Manila. This year’s conference, themed “PGCA Legacy: Stories to Conquer New Glories,” brings together leading professionals in guidance and counseling from across the country and abroad to celebrate six decades of PGCA’s commitment to the field.
UNP’s contingent, composed of Dr. Eva Marie Avila, Dr. Aurelia Vitamog, Dr. Marifel Acena, Ms. Rowena Mamuad, and the accomplished graduates from the university’s Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling Program who are now counselors in various institutions, were actively participating in the various plenary sessions and interactive workshops. Their involvement underscores the university’s strong tradition of producing highly qualified professionals who promote personal and professional growth.
The conference offers a valuable platform for UNP delegates to engage with the leaders in the profession, share best practices, and collaborate with peers in advancing the profession. This not only highlights the university’s role in the national guidance and counseling landscape but also reaffirms its commitment to excellence and innovation in the field.
