Faculty members attended the 2026 Annual Scientific Conference and 93rd General Membership Assembly of the National Research Council of the Philippines held at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City on March 13, 2025.
The event gathered researchers across different disciplines. With the theme “Transdisciplinary Capacity Building and Ethical Research Towards a Progressive, Unified, and SDG-Driven Nation,” it highlighted transdisciplinarity to solve today’s pressing problems.
Highly accomplished scholars and professors served as session speakers on ways forward to foreground transdisciplinarity in science and humanities research, make research studies adhere to highest standards of scholarship and ethics, and use these studies for policy making and programs for the sustainable development goals.
Attendees were Prof. Maria Yolanda Aquino and Dr. Gerard de Peralta of the College of Health Sciences; Dr. Corazon Pardo, and Asst. Prof. Mark Louie Tabunan of the College of Teacher Education; and Dr. Mariquit Obrero, Dr. Dean Alvin Pablico, and Dr. Joseph Taban of the College of Arts and Sciences.
They belong to the different divisions of the NRCP, namely: Governmental, Education, and International Policies, Mathematical Sciences, Medical Sciences, Social Sciences, Physics, and Humanities.
