The Student Welfare Services Office, through the Guidance and Counseling Services (GCS), in collaboration with the Human Resource Management Office and Instruction and Faculty Development Office, conducted the annual Adviser Empowerment Program on March 25, 2025, at the College of Technology Function Hall.
Dubbed as “CUPacity Building and Self-Care for Class Advisers: Filling Your Cup with Compassion, Upliftment, and Patience cum Mental Health Consultation,” the session aimed to equip class advisers with essential self-care strategies, recognizing the multifaceted challenges they face in supporting students.
As partners in implementing various guidance and counseling services, the class advisers received an overview of the services offered by the Guidance and Counseling Services Office presented by Dr. Rodel Rosario, Assistant Head of the GCS office. Ms. Alexandria Blake Pisalbo, a licensed psychologist and a faculty member of UNP-College of Arts and Sciences, presented various self-care practices based on compassion, uplifting gestures, and techniques that improve patience.
Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, encouraged the class advisers to take advantage of the different activities designed for their needs and underscored the university’s commitment to the promotion of mental wellness both for its employees and students.
The activity further reinforced the University’s role in creating a supportive educational environment that benefits everyone involved.
