UNP holds orientation for newly hired instructors
The University of Northern Philippines, through the Human Resource Management Office conducted an orientation for newly hired part-time faculty members at the UNP Guestel Function Hall on January 30, 2025. The event aimed to familiarize them with university policies, procedures, and expectations to help them transition smoothly into the teaching profession.
In his message, Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, UNP President, welcomed the new faculty members and emphasized professionalism in both teaching and workplace conduct. He encouraged them to lead by example and uphold integrity in their roles as educators.
Furthermore, the orientation featured two key sessions. The Human Resource Management Office discussed UNP’s policies, mission, vision, and core values, while Ms. Mona R. Briones from the Accounting Unit explained Revenue Regulation No. 11-2018, covering employment documents, financial matters, and tax-related concerns.
This seminar provided the necessary knowledge to help new instructors adapt to the institution’s standards, ensuring they are well-equipped to fulfill their responsibilities in the academe.
