UNP holds virtual meeting in preparation for AACCUP Accreditation

In an effort to uphold academic excellence and institutional quality, the accreditation committees met on July 22, 2025 in preparation for the upcoming accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP).  

A meeting of the Deans, Program Heads, and area committee members in the morning was held and in afternoon was the meeting of working committee members. The meeting was held to reiterate individual vital role in the survey and site visit phases of the accreditation.

The programs that will be assessed on July 28 to August 1, 2025 are the Master of Arts in Nursing and Master of Statistics.

The meeting was presided over by Dr. Eva Marie Avila, Director of the Quality Management Office, and Engr. Joselito Totaan, Head of Accreditation. Both officials led the committee in reiterating accreditation requirements, and processes which may be involved during the AACCUP evaluation.

Dr. Avila emphasized the importance of a unified and systematic approach in achieving accreditation goals, not just about compliance but about institutional integrity and the collective vision to elevate academic standards.

Engr. Totaan provided an overview of the timeline and processes involved, and reminded participants of the importance of readiness in terms of documentation and stakeholder engagement.

As UNP moves toward another round of program assessments, this proactive coordination underscores its ongoing commitment to quality assurance and excellence in public higher education.
