UNP inks pact with DepEd Ilocos Sur for sustainable development
The University of Northern Philippines and the Department of Education Ilocos Sur have officially partnered to enhance skills training and education through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on March 19, 2025, at Bantay National High School. This collaboration aims to empower students and educators while promoting quality education.
Representing UNP was its President, Dr. Erwin Cadorna, along with Prof. Lloyd Mata, officer-in-charge of the University Extension Office, and faculty members from the College of Technology, including Dr. Vincent Genaro Palma, Prof. Harrison Teodosio, and Dr. Mario Reotutar. On behalf of DepEd Ilocos Sur, Dr. Joye Madalipay, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, was joined by Leilani Navarro, Head Teacher III and officer-in-charge of the Office of the School Principal, and Dr. Jowell Pilotin, Education Supervisor for TLE/TVL.
The partnership will facilitate training programs, technology transfer, and extension activities, with DepEd ensuring effective implementation and continuity. The agreement strengthens the commitment of both institutions to fostering inclusive and sustainable education for students and educators.
