The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) and JeNeFa Scholastica, Inc. formalized their academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on September 3, 2025, at JeNeFa Scholastica, Inc. in Bayubay, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur.
Present during the signing were key leaders from both institutions, including Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President; Rev. Michael Mahor, President of JeNeFa Scholastica, Inc.; and Dr. Rolando Navarro, UNP Vice President for Academic Affairs. Alongside other representatives, their presence highlighted not only institutional partnership but also a collective vision of shaping students into well-rounded individuals through education, values formation, and community involvement.
The partnership seeks to strengthen ties between UNP and JeNeFa Scholastica, Inc. by combining their respective strengths to foster student growth and innovation. UNP, through the Office of Student Affairs and Services–Student Welfare Services Office (OSAS–SWSO) and the College of Arts and Sciences’ Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling Program (CAS-MAGC), commits its expertise and resources to support community engagement, capability-building programs, and guidance initiatives. Meanwhile, JeNeFa Scholastica, recognized for its nurturing Christian environment and dedication to moral and spiritual development, will serve as host for various activities, actively engage participants, and ensure the continuity of the programs.
The MOA signing not only marked the start of a meaningful partnership but also opened the door to sustainable projects. These projects will benefit students, faculty, and the broader community. With a vision anchored in experiential learning and educational innovation, UNP and JeNeFa Scholastica, Inc. look forward to building long-term initiatives that bring lasting impact to the community.
