The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) formalized its partnership with the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) – Ilocos Sur Chapter through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on August 29, 2025, at Tadena Hall, Administration Building.
Leading the ceremony was UNP President Dr. Erwin Cadorna, joined by key university officials including Dr. Fatima Rocamora, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Fatima Nicetas Alonzo, Dean of the College of Architecture; Ar. Mon-Cres Toje, Assistant Dean; Engr. Maila Ragasa, Unit Extension Coordinator; and Prof. May Evelia Ruadap, University Extension Coordinator.
Representing PIEP–Ilocos Sur Chapter were Ar./EnP. Ludivina A. Lozano, Chapter President; EnP. Anna Liza V. Europa-Morales, Executive Vice President; EnP. James Paolo Tablada; and EnP. Ma. Roxanne Villanueva.
The agreement signifies a stronger collaboration particularly in advancing environmental planning education, research initiatives, and community extension programs.
The signing also coincided with the 2nd Vesting Ceremony of the BS Environmental Planning Service-Learning Arrangement for Batch 2025–2026, further underscoring UNP’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development in environmental planning.
