UNP prepares New Students for Academic Excellence through Orientation Program

The University of Northern Philippines geared up for academic year 2025-2026 with a series of college orientations by the Guidance and Counseling Services (GCS) under the Student Welfare Services Office (SWSO), fostering a supportive atmosphere right from the beginning of their academic journey.

Scheduled across several dates from August 1, 6 to 8, 19 to 20, and 22, the orientation aimed to welcome new students, shifters, transferees, and those returning or pursuing a second course from the different colleges. The sessions were hosted in various venues including the UNP Gymnasium, CTECH Function Hall, and the Auditorium, ensuring ample space for each college’s event.

College representatives and administrative personnel have detailed the logistical requirements to make the event welcoming and comfortable. These arrangements go beyond planning, emphasizing the importance of a positive first impression for shifters, transferees, and returning students, which builds trust and enthusiasm for academic life.

This organized approach to orientation reflects UNP’s dedication to smooth transitions for all students. By prioritizing support services and state-of-the-art facilities, the university fosters a sense of belonging and readiness among its incoming cohorts, affirming its role as a leading educational institution in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
