The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), represented by a 35-member delegation and led by President Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, is participating in the AUAP Joint Events 2025 from May 21 to 23 at Chardonnay by Astoria, Manila. The international event brings together educators and leaders for the 9th AUAP Forum & Networking, the 37th AUAP Annual Conference, and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific.
During the first special talk session, Dr. Cadorna presented how UNP is integrating cultural heritage into higher education through its innovative programs rooted in Vigan City. Emphasizing instruction, research, and community partnerships, his talk highlighted how UNP transforms its historic surroundings into immersive learning environments that promote preservation, global collaboration, and student empowerment.
Dr. Cadorna’s presentation drew attention to UNP’s leadership in heritage-based education and earned commendation from fellow delegates. It reaffirms the University’s role as a model for culturally grounded innovation and opened doors for new international partnerships and academic exchanges aligned with its global vision.
