UNP produces 35 new CPAs, surpasses national passing rate in May 2026 LECPA

Thirty-five graduates of the University of Northern Philippines’ Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program successfully hurdled the May 2026 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on June 2.

The newly licensed Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) emerged victorious from the rigorous three-day examination that assessed candidates’ proficiency in accounting principles, analytical skills, and professional competence.

The successful examinees are: Raychelle Marie S. Alaibilla; Marifel P. Aldaca; John Loyd D. Barcellano; Zachi G. Cardenas; Angelique Justine A. Cortez; Mark Lei R. Dayag; Czairah P. Disomimba; Princes Daian Elem; Patricia Ferrera; Charlyn Angel G. Gamer; Jeserie Mae G. Gascon; Cindy C. Ibarra; Kriezlle Ines; Lovely Krystal A. Inocencio; Camila P. Labor; Heneshe Kate L. Magno; Isaiah Keith C. Manzano; Bridgette Nicole V. Mendoza; Jessalyn T. Molina; Leni Jane R. Morales; Franzane Daphnie B. Quitoriano; Rachel Sheimha R. Rabino; Haley Trevor R. Repato; Henadine C. Reotutar; Honey Rane P. Ridao; Rhea Mae Romero; Juliana Naty A. Ruelos; Ashley T. Sabado; Vrent S. Soto; Kizzneth C. Sunio; Jahn R. Supnet; Dhan Lesther D. Tacuyog; Godfrey P. Of the 35 successful examinees, 32 were among the 55 first-time takers, translating to a 58.18% passing rate for first-time examinees. Three of the four retakers also passed the examination, while six examinees obtained conditioned status.

The University recorded an institutional passing rate of 59.32 percent, with 35 passers out of 59 examinees. The university’s performance significantly surpassed the national passing rate of 30.83 percent reported by the PRC.

UNP emerged as one of the country’s top-performing institutions in the May 2026 LECPA, securing the 7th spot nationwide among schools offering the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program with at least 50 examinees. The University also ranked as the top-performing school in Region 1, further affirming its commitment to academic excellence and quality accountancy education.

The results emphasize the continued commitment of the UNP College of Business Administration and Accountancy to academic excellence and the development of competent, ethical, and globally competitive accounting professionals.

The achievement adds another milestone to the university’s track record in producing successful CPA licensure examinees and reflects the dedication of its students, faculty members, and administrators in upholding quality accountancy education.
