With a vision for a more inclusive and sustainable Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Alliah Nicole Sayo, 4th-year Psychology student of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP), made history as one of the only four youth delegates selected to represent the Philippines at the 4th ASEAN Youth Dialogue 2025. Held from May 22 to 28 in Crowne Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the prestigious event gathered 85 emerging leaders from Southeast Asia, fostering powerful discussions on regional policy, sustainability, and youth-driven change.
Throughout the week-long program, young leaders engaged in intensive policy discussions, enriching cultural exchanges, and collaborative initiatives aimed at fostering a more inclusive and sustainable ASEAN. Sayo’s participation emphasized the essential role of young visionaries in regional development, leadership, and policy innovation, reinforcing the power of youth in driving meaningful change.
