On April 11, 2025, the University of Northern Philippines led by its President, Dr. Erwin Cadorna, through the College of Health Sciences, formally renewed its Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with its adopted partners—Basug National High School and the community of Barangay Manueva, Santa, Ilocos Sur. This significant renewal underscores the continued commitment of all parties to work hand-in-hand in advancing health, education, and community development efforts.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Maria Donalene Bernal, Principal of Basug National High School, along with her faculty members, and the College of Health Sciences faculty led by College Dean, Dr. Joussie Bermio. In Barangay Manueva, the event was attended by Punong Barangay Manuel Bajet Jr., together with barangay officials and faculty representatives from the College of Health Sciences.
Looking ahead, this renewed partnership serves as a solid platform for launching future initiatives aimed at uplifting the quality of life and fostering sustainable growth within the school and the community.
