UNP secures fourth place in Ilocos Sur lantern parade
The Ilocos Sur Lantern Parade 2024, held on December 14, showcased the artistic talents of students from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and private institutions across the province. Organized by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, the event featured creative lantern designs and choreographed performances, judged on creativity, choreography, theme adherence, and visual appeal.
The University of Northern Philippines secured fourth place, highlighting its dedication to student engagement, and artistic excellence. The parade promoted community spirit, and celebrated cultural traditions, lighting up Vigan’s streets with colorful displays symbolizing hope, and unity.
This event not only showcased UNP’s commitment to cultural heritage but also strengthens ties with local governance. UNP aligns its resources, and expertise with the provincial government’s objectives.
