UNP unveils Kiosk Web Directory, pioneering campus-wide digital access and efficiency

The University of Northern Philippines launched the new University Kiosk Web Directory as part of its notable leap towards digital accessibility and service efficiency. Kiosk- The Directory creation started on November 13, 2025, led by the Information and Communication Technology Office (ICTO) to its completion with successful installation including deployment of Kiosks on November 19.

The high-impact digital interactive touchpoints have been strategically installed in key areas of the campus to ensure maximum accessibility for students, faculty, and staff. Two kiosks—one situated at the Registrar’s Office and another at the Administration Building—now serve as central hubs for quick, convenient access to university information and services.

The newly launched Web Directory serves as a centralized digital hub, seamlessly integrated with the university’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Student Information and Accounting System (SIAS). This integration allows students and staff to access vital, real-time information—including academic records, enrollment status, account balances, and employee profiles—instantly and without manual processing, streamlining administrative tasks across the campus community.

The kiosks serve as a key digital equity initiative, offering students convenient, real-time access to academic grades and other essential information through the University portal. Recognizing the varying levels of internet access among students, the university plans to strategically deploy these kiosks during enrollment periods, particularly in areas where home connectivity is limited. Beyond student use, the kiosks provide staff and campus visitors with a straightforward gateway to the official university website, enhancing accessibility for the entire campus community.

With this comprehensive rollout, UNP emphasizes its commitment to operational efficiency, seamless information sharing, and user-friendly services, while advancing its broader vision of digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation in both academic and administrative processes.
