USRN career path shared to BSN, MAN students

 

BS Nursing and MA Nursing students were informed of the opportunities reaped and challenges faced by Filipino nurses in the American healthcare system through a seminar on the career path of USRNs held at the UNP Auditorium on May 5, 2024.

The seminar was organized by the College of Nursing, headed by Dean Francis Don L. Nero, in cooperation with the Public and International Affairs Office, headed by Director Irene Abigail Guerrero. VP for Finance and Administration also inspired the students through a message.

Sessions intended to shed light on the route to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States, as well as the intricacies of the US healthcare market. It also presented specialization choices, license requirements, and prospects for career progression.

In addition, the seminar worked through a comprehensive approach to nursing practice by highlighting the significance of cultural competency and compassionate care, in addition to the learning of clinical skills.

The participants left the seminar with the information and resources they need to start rewarding careers as registered nurses committed to enhancing the health of American communities.
