The University of Northern Philippines has renewed its Memorandum of Agreement with the Salindeg, Pong-ol, Barraca Elementary School in a signing ceremony held on March 13, 2024.

Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna (University President) and Ms. Azenith A. Ramos (Head Teacher) signed the MOA, as witnessed by Dr. Ma. Teresa Susan L. Manzano (College of Teacher Education dean) and Atty. Kim Tagorda who represented Schools Division Superintendent Vilma Eda.

The faculty members of the Bachelor of Elementary Education program led the said renewal of agreement, which hopes to be sustained through extension programs for “children’s development, teachers’ development, and other educational concerns.”

These include activities that complement the curricular offerings of the K to 12 Curriculum when it comes to literacy and numeracy. More specifically, it targets those identified as non-readers in all the grade levels of the school.

Centered on UNP’s Project DUR-AS (Dagiti Ubbing Raemenda ti Adal ken Siensia), UNP also seeks to provide gender and development activities as needed; disseminate the results of researches conducted; and assist teachers in the preparation of action researches.
