The University of Northern Philippines, through the Student Welfare Services Office (SWSO) under the Office of Student Affairs and Services, conducted the Career Launchpad: Employment and Enterprise Readiness Program on April 14 and 15, 2026 at the UNP Gymnasium.
Organized by the Career and Job Placement and Alumni Services and the Economic Enterprise Development Services under SWSO, the two-day event gathered graduating students from various colleges to prepare them for employment and entrepreneurial pathways.
The program featured parallel morning and afternoon sessions covering Strategic Career Planning and Professional Branding, and Business Idea Development and Validation. On April 14, morning sessions for the Colleges of Business Administration and Accountancy, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Education, and Communication and Information Technology were led by CBAA educators Dr. John Wilbert Madriaga and Mr. Romeo Arce. Afternoon sessions for the Colleges of Public Administration, Social Work, and Criminal Justice Education were facilitated by Mr. Emman Trevor Quilala and Dr. Princess Neptalia Quebral.
On April 15, morning sessions for the Colleges of Engineering, Architecture and the Built Environment, Fine Arts and Design, and Technology were handled by Mr. Paul Richard Martin and Mr. Arce. Afternoon sessions for the Colleges of Nursing, Arts and Sciences, and Health Sciences were again led by Mr. Quilala and Dr. Quebral.
The activity aimed to strengthen students’ readiness for the workforce by enhancing their career planning skills and introducing practical approaches to entrepreneurship. Through expert-led discussions and interactive forums, participants gained valuable insights to help them navigate their transition from university to professional life.
