UNP welcomes AUPWU delegation for enhanced employee support and workplace excellence              

In a significant step toward advancing employee welfare and fostering stronger institutional collaboration, representatives of the All U.P. Workers Union (AUPWU) paid a visit to the University of Northern Philippines on June 18, 2026, for a dialogue centered on issues and concerns affecting administrative personnel.

The meeting served as a vital platform for constructive engagement, allowing both parties to exchange insights, address workforce-related matters, and reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting a supportive, inclusive, and productive working environment. The visit also strengthened the partnership between the union and the University, stressing the importance of open communication and collaborative action in safeguarding the interests and well-being of employees.

Representing the All U.P. Workers Union during the engagement were Mr. Clodualdo Cabrera, National Executive Vice President, and Ms. Sonia Lumbre, National Treasurer, together with union members Ms. Francisca Vera Cruz, Ms. Merilyn Berdin, Mr. Romeo De La Cruz, Ms. Jimoa Alicante, and Ms. Connie Marquina.

The delegation was warmly received by the University of Northern Philippines Non-Teaching Employees Union headed by its President Atty. Gerwin Rabang, with the support of Treasurer Mr. Robinson Tolio and Secretary Ms. Antonina Lazaro. Their meeting emphasized a shared commitment to advance the welfare of administrative personnel, foster solidarity among workers, and strengthen collaborative efforts toward protecting employees’ rights and promoting a more responsive and inclusive workplace environment.

The meeting served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, enabling participants to exchange insights, share experiences, and discuss best practices in advancing workers’ rights and welfare. Through the productive discussions, both parties explored strategies and initiatives aimed to strengthen employee support programs, promote workplace well-being, and promote a more responsive and inclusive environment for the workforce.

Both unions expressed confidence that the engagement will help reinforce unity and mutual understanding, leading to initiatives that would benefit administrative personnel and the university community in general.
