BioSoc conducts Career Prep Seminar on Biomates
As a part of the Biology Week Celebration, the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) – BS Biology Program and Biology Society (BioSoc) under the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) initiated a seminar that aimed to encourage students, particularly the seniors, on embarking a path in line with medicine and public health on January 21, 2025 at the UNP College of Technology Building Function Hall.
The seminar entitled “Biology Meets Medicine: Preparing for a Career in Medicine and Public Health” was participated by students of the BS Biology program. Dr. Bryan Anthony G. Farol was the Guest Speaker.
Dr. Farol emphasized vital steps in approaching public health problems such as surveillance, risk factor identification, intervention and evaluation, and implementation. “Your medical expertise will enable you to treat individual patients by embracing principles of public health” he stated. An open forum was held after the talk where students asked questions to the speaker.
