BSGE program undergoes AACCUP Level IV Phase II Revisit
The UNP College of Engineering’s Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering program welcomed the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) team through its Level IV Phase II Accreditation Survey Revisit (Online) held on December 4-6, 2024.
This event marked another significant step in the University’s commitment to academic excellence and global competitiveness.
The AACUP Team consisted of distinguished accreditors, namely: Dr. Sisenando Masangcap Jr. (lead accreditor), Dr. Darwin Ong (team leader), and Dr. Rodulfo Macalam (member). The accreditation team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the BSGE program on its five areas: Performance of Graduates, Research, Community Services, International Linkages, and Well-Developed Planning Process, towards the end of ensuring that the program meets high-quality education.
The College of Engineering, led by Dr. Nelia Verzosa, with the College’s faculty and staff presented updated documentation, program achievements, and new initiatives implemented in the BSGE program since the last accreditation phase
Dr. Erwin Cadorna, the University president, expressed his optimism during the closing program, stating that the accreditation is a testament to maintaining quality education in every program offered by the University. The Quality Management Office, headed by Dr. Eva Marie Avila, facilitated the accreditation revisit.
“The UNP College of Engineering is committed to maintaining the highest standards in engineering education and producing skilled individuals who will lead in the ever-changing field of geodetic engineering,” said Dr. Verzosa.
