College of Medicine taps San Fernando, Baguio hospitals as affiliate centers
In anticipation of the clinical clerkship of the students of College of Medicine, University of Northern Philippines President, Dr. Erwin Cadorna, together with Dr. Pablo Quedado (Dean of the College), Dr. Domineta Gonzalo (Asst. Dean), and faculty members Dr. Ezperanza Lahoz and Dr. Max Geronimo Butardo met the administration of Lorma Medical Center (LMC), San Fernando City, La Union and Baguio General Hospital BGH, Baguio City on March 6, 2024 for an partnership on UNP Doctor of Medicine students clinical cleckship.
The meeting with LMC was attended by Mr. Robert Kaizer (President and Hospital Administrator), Dr. Mario Bautista (Medical Director), Dr. Raymund Espinosa (Asst. Medical Director for Staff Development and Training), and other medical practitioners of LMC.
For the BGH, the hospital was represented by the Chief Medical Professional Services, Dr. Larry Haya.
Both medical institutions acceded to the request for clerkship in their hospitals. A memorandum of agreement will soon be forged by the University, LMC, and BGH.
The Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in San Fernando City, La Union is the base hospital of the UNP College of Medicine.
