CSW holds self-enhancement training for ECCD workers
The College of Social Work, led by Prof. Melody T. Gacita, held a self-enhancement training in Suyo, Ilocos Sur, on March 1, 2024.
The training aimed to provide an avenue for early childhood care development workers to deepen their appreciation of the vital role they play in support to child development and provide them valuable information to further their awareness on the legal perspective of early childhood care and development.
Atty. Mirella A. Verzosa, Assistant Dean from the College of Law, discussed the legal foundations of ECCD in the Philippines, followed by a panel discussion on child development concerns.
The discussants were Ms. Sheila L. De Vera, Atty. Mirella A. Verzosa, and Mr. Jay Ar Joshua A. Tolentino, while Prof. Aurora R. Quero served as moderator.
The activity is anchored on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
