DSSP drives change with Tubay ken Muli extension project
In an inspiring initiative of selflessness, the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy presents “Project: tubay ken muli – The Sophist’s Journey: To love and care for the HOPE of our future.” The said endeavor centered on community, action, and service to inspire a culture of volunteerism and compassion. It happened at Dadalaquiten Integrated School in Sinait, Ilocos Sur on March 6, 2024.
The program emerges as a beacon of community engagement during the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Week and Volunteerism Day.
This extension activity not only signifies the department’s dedication but also underscores the faculty’s commitment to promoting social awareness, active citizenship, and meaningful societal contributions.
“Tubay ken Muli” encapsulates the department’s principle of fostering inclusive and empowering educational experiences. Beyond the academic realm, this initiative transforms into a dynamic force for societal change by providing experiential learning opportunities, building respectful partnerships, and addressing crucial societal needs. The program stands as a testament to the department’s dedication to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: Reduced Inequalities and SDG 5: Gender Equality.
