The University of Northern Philippines (UNP), together with the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary (ICMS), renewed its memorandum of agreement at Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary on April 22, 2024, marking the continued collaborative partnership between the institutions.

The Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) led the renewal of the MOA with ICMS.

Dr. Erwin F. Cadorna, UNP President, expressed his gratitude towards ICMS and committed to extending whatever assistance they need. “I hoped that we would be actively involved in the activities and extensions,” Cadorna shared.

Rev. Fr. Lester Joseph R. Plana replied to the words of the President with appreciation as he mentioned that they were building good, young seminarians, and with that, they were grateful for the assistance that the University offers.

Dr. Cadorna and Rev. Fr. Plana signed the MOA while Dr. Mariano Peterno F. Avila, Prof.  May Evelia V. Ruadap, Dr. Marifel Q. Acena, Rev. Fr. Juan Joyful B. Taqueban, and Dr. Milagros R. Remular served as witnesses. This marks the agreement that both parties acknowledged the responsibilities and obligations in the MOA.

As a manifestation of the agreement, the University extended its hand in helping the ICMS establish a functional guidance program and providing assistance in the conduct of counseling sessions with seminarians.
