CSW lauds new social workers
To recognize the successful performance of the BSSW graduates in the Licensure Examination for Social Workers held last September 18-20, 2024, the College of Social Work, headed by Prof. Melody T. Gacita, steered an activity titled “Pammadayaw 2024” on November 19, 2024.
For the first part of the activity, a mass was held at the University Chapel, setting a tone of gratitude and celebration. Following the mass, a motorcade took place around Metro Vigan to feature newly registered social workers and current BSSW students, accompanied by the CSW Faculty and Staff.
In the afternoon, the recognition and testimonial program was held. It aimed to give due recognition and honor to parents for their selfless sacrifices and support which led their children to perform successfully in the board examination. The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando B. Navarro was in attendance and gave an inspirational message to both the passers and parents.
This event served as a significant milestone for the CSW community, reinforcing the values of dedication and community support in the field of social work.
