OSAS conducts extension activities at Tay-ac Elementary School

On October 17, 2024, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) organized extension activities at Tay-ac Elementary School aimed at promoting health and education among students.

The first activity was a feeding program for kindergarten pupils, where Mrs. Precious Emerald Castillo discussed the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. Following the discussion, the OSAS team, including Mr. Joe Michael Esta, Mrs. Precious Lyn Cornejo-Babida, Mrs. Rowena Mamuad, and Mrs. Winselda Realin distributed nutritious breakfast meals to the children, with assistance from parents and teachers.

The second activity featured Project LA.P.I.S., an initiative from the UNP Admission Services Office, which included a discussion on “Understanding Feelings and Staying Healthy” tailored for elementary pupils and their teachers.

Mrs. Cornejo-Babida emphasized that the pencils distributed during the event symbolize the hopes of these young learners in their pursuit of quality education. She reassured them that the University of Northern Philippines stands with them as they strive to achieve their dreams.

Ms. Jan Christiana Balans  and Ms. Rain Alviar handed out the pencils to the pupils after the discussion, while the other pencils were provided to class advisers and the school principal for further distribution.
