PATHFIT’IESTA showcases a unique blend of fitness and cultural heritage
The Department of Physical Education of the College of Arts and Sciences celebrated its two-day PATHFit’iesta: Pathfitness Day on June 5, 2024, and the Pathfit Festival on June 6, 2024, with the theme, “Ay-ayam, Salsala, ken Salun-at para iti Komunidad a Nakaradkad.”
The events included a festival dance competition as well as a cultural show of the Danggay Sariri Cultural Dance Troupe, Danggay Saririt Vocal Ensemble, and the DPE Faculty. In addition to the events, there is a fitness dance competition, a poster slogan contest, self-defense classes, and the Ambassador and Ambassadress of Fitness 2024 pageant.
This program provided an opportunity for the students, regardless of their gender, to display their skills learned from their PATHFit classes for the duration of the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024.
At the eagerly awaited DPE Fitness Dance Competition, BSCE 1-A emerged victorious with their flawless performance, which was a blend of creativity, synchronization, and pure athleticism, under the guidance of Mr. Mark Christian Palo. The event showcased incredible performances from various PATHFIT 102 classes.
The competition was intense, with BSBA 1-E, mentored by Mr. Calvin Klein Blanco, securing the 1st runner-up position, while BSN 1-E, mentored by Mrs. Carmela Vee Lim, took the 2nd runner-up spot.
In this year’s Title Ambassador and Ambassadress of Fitness 2024, Jayvee Russel Campo, BSMLS 1-C, and Sophia Andrei Ganibo, BSCRIM 1-E, both displayed impressive performances showcasing their captivating physique, grace, elegance, and eloquence.
