UNP qualifies for Performance-Based Bonus FY 2022

The University of Northern Philippines was deemed eligible for the Fiscal Year 2022 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB), having garnered a total of 85 points in the performance results, process results, financial results, and citizen/client satisfaction. This was determined by the interagency task force on the harmonization of national government performance monitoring, formation, and reporting systems as of March 15.

Based on the evaluation, UNP achieved a perfect score in both Process Results and Citizen/Client Satisfaction Results, totaling five points each, equivalent to 25 points each. In Process Results, the University achieved a perfect score, indicating significant improvements in easing transactions in both external and internal services. This included enhancing and further digitizing enrollment processes, improving accessibility, streamlining admission eligibility transactions, and reducing travel costs.

Additionally, the University retained its ISO 9001:2015 Certification and achieved Level II Institutional accreditation. UNP utilized social media accounts and information dissemination by broadcasting university announcements via the University Radio station and local media. The Public Information Office and DWNP broadcast were also utilized for news and information dissemination, along with conducting information dissemination programs for new students to familiarize them with the University core and support services and prepare them for future academic endeavors. As a result, the University achieved substantial improvements in easing transactions solely within its internal service.

Furthermore, in the Citizen/Client Satisfaction Results, the University achieved a satisfaction rate of 4.86, with no complaints received from #8888 and CCB. The University did not also receive any complaints through the Contact Center Ng Bayan (CCB).

The Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) system is a program that provides incentives to government employees based on their exemplary performance and dedication to public service.

It was implemented by the Aquino Administration in 2012 to achieve two main objectives: enhancing the delivery of services to all Filipinos and fostering a culture of excellence in public service across the bureaucracy.

For an agency like the University of Northern Philippines to qualify for the F.Y 2022 PBB, it must attain a total score of at least 70 points. To reach this threshold, an agency should achieve a performance rating of 4 in at least three criteria.

The University’s eligibility for the PBB reflects its core values of transparency and selfless service. This highlights the institution’s commitment to providing quality and excellent service to all stakeholders and the community and fostering substantial improvements and satisfaction in its performance and accountability.
