Angelica Mae Tabion, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and the Class Valedictorian of Class 2024 of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy, brought pride to the University of Northern Philippines as she clinched the 8th spot in the August 2025 Certified Financial Management Specialist (CFMS) examination with an impressive rating of 91.25 percent.
The results were released on August 21 by the Center for Professional Advancement and Continuing Education, Inc. (CPACE Philippines) following the virtual conduct of the examination on August 16, 2025.
Despite the challenges of balancing her review with work, Tabion persevered through disciplined preparation. “I only had roughly three weeks to prepare for the exam. Since I have a job, I could only study at night and during weekends. It was really hard because sometimes I felt drained from work, so I had to take some nights off to rest. But I always made sure that what I missed one day, I covered the next,” she shared.
For Tabion, passing the CFMS is not merely about earning a new credential but about commitment and growth. “Passing the CFMS exam is not just an additional title. It is a mark of our dedication to continuing professional development. Aside from that, I believe that being CFMS will open larger and better opportunities in my career path,” she said, reflecting on how this milestone will shape her future.
Ms. Stephanie Concepcion and Ms. Pauline Rotor also passed the exam, contributing to the national passing rate of 71.86%.
