The College of Communication and Information Technology successfully conducted a coastal clean-up drive at San Sebastian, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, on December 16, 2023. This initiative was themed “CCIT Cares – Green Environment Program” and was part of the college’s broader CONNECT program, which stands for Creating Opportunities for Next-Gen Network, Education, Culture, and Technology.

Organized in collaboration with the University Research and Development Office (URDO), this clean-up initiative seeks to make a tangible contribution toward these global objectives. The program emphasizes the importance of environmental conservation and aims to promote sustainable practices that can lead to a lasting impact within the community.

Through such initiatives, the College of Communication and Information Technology not only addresses local environmental issues but also fosters a culture of sustainability among students and community members. This effort is crucial in raising awareness about the significance of maintaining clean environments and engaging in practices that support ecological health.
