A faculty member of the University of Northern Philippines College of Fine Arts and Design secured First Prize in the 21st GSIS National Art Competition, bringing national recognition to the University.
Mr. Delmar Torrano garnered distinguished recognition for his exceptional artwork, Pusong Itinanghal, which earned acclaim during the Awarding Ceremonies and Exhibition Opening of the prestigious national art competition held on June 15, 2026, at the GSIS Theater in Pasay City. His achievement highlights both his artistic excellence and creative vision, placing his work among the competition’s most outstanding entries and bringing honor to the institution and community he represents.
Organized by the Government Service Insurance System in collaboration with the Art Association of the Philippines, the competition, anchored on the theme “The Filipino Public Servant,” has earned distinction as one of the country’s most prestigious visual arts events.
