Reinforcing its commitment to employment development and stakeholder collaboration, the University of Northern Philippines joined the Department of Labor and Employment–Regional Office I (DOLE-RO1) Ilocos Sur Field Office’s Capacity Building Activity on June 19, 2026 in Candon City bringing together key partners to strengthen workforce and employment services in the region.
Representing UNP in the capacity-building activity were Dr. Deborah Jaena Reyno-Reoliquio, Assistant Head of the Center for Job Placement and Alumni Services and University Job Placement Officer, and Mr. Marvin Keith Sosa, Assistant Head of the Employment and Economic Development Services under the Office of Student Affairs and Services. Their participation demonstrates the university’s commitment to strengthen employment facilitation initiatives and enhance opportunities for students and graduates.
The gathering convened key stakeholders from various sectors to foster a deeper understanding of youth employability policies, effective program implementation strategies, and the collective responsibilities of government agencies, educational institutions, employers, and other partners in bridging young Filipinos to meaningful skills development, training opportunities, and sustainable employment.
UNP’s participation in the activity highlights its unwavering dedication to graduate employability and workforce readiness. By forging stronger ties with DOLE and key employment stakeholders, the University continues to enhance its career guidance, job placement, and employment facilitation services, ensuring that students and alumni are equipped with relevant opportunities, industry-informed support, and pathways to meaningful and sustainable careers.
