UNP Gender Sensitivity Training Program maintains PCW accreditation
The UNP Gender Sensitivity Training Program remains as the only SUC in the entire Philippines to have a PCW-certified training program with the recertification by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) received on March 5, 2025 during the 2025 National Women’s Month Kick-off Activity held at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia.
The recertification came after a rigorous evaluation process which consisted of submission of required documents, and presentation of UNP’s accomplishments followed by a Q&A session during the Partnership Assessment Meeting on October 18, 2024. In 2022, UNP was one of only three institutions whose training program accredited by the PCW.
The plaque of conferment was received by Dr. Erwin Cadorna, UNP President, who also delivered a message where he emphasized UNP’s commitment to the vision and core messages of PCW and thanked PCW for the sustained partnership. He was accompanied by Atty. Katrynn Louise Eder, officer-in-charge of the Center for Gender and Development; Dr. Eleanor Belizar, Special Assistant to the President and Member of the PCW National GAD Resource Pool; and Dr. Victoria Arce, former Director of CGAD and Member of the PCW National GAD Resource Pool.
