UNP grants GK request for trainings
With the aim for an improvement of life that needs to happen among the residents of Gawad Kalinga (GK) community in Tamurong Uno, Candon City, the University Extension Office though the College of Teacher Education–Laboratory Schools conducted social and moral development activities participated in by GK residents on February 29, 2024.
The act of helping the GK residents to better their lives so that they can realize their potential is a goal of the University.
The enhancement training on hair science, lectures on personality development and moral and spiritual re-engineering, and skills training delivered to them are offshoot of the meeting on January 16 between the Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Fatima Rocamora, and the residents who requested for these services.
The lecturers were Mr. Joey Camello who talked on personality development; Mr. Jeffrey Valencia, moral reengineering; and Mr. Lester Aaron for spiritual development.
Mr. Randall Rabacal gave a lecture on hair science and initiated free haircut to the residents. Claudette Rabago, on the other hand, delivered a training on food preparation using camias as the raw material.
Assisting them were Mr. Jeffrey Galangco, Mr. Joseph Acena, Ms. Arlene Kriezel Tabbuac, and Ms. Janet Molina. Also present was Prof. May Evelia Ruadap, Extension Coordinator.
