UNP joins coastal clean-up drive at Santa
The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) through the University Environmental Management Office (UEMO) participated in the Coastal Clean-up of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – City Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR – CENRO) on January 24, 2025, at the Imelda Park Santa, Ilocos Sur.
This activity aims to restore and protect coastal areas, raise awareness, develop responsibility to the community, advance ecological solid waste management, and address the pressing waste crisis in the province, aligning with the University’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
The said activity was attended by University Environmental Management Office (UEMO), University Information Office (UIO), Philippine Coast Guard Ilocos Sur, Bureau of Fire Protection, Municipal Environmental Management Office of Santa, Philippine Army and Philippine National Police and other government agencies and none government organization.
