UNP Open University holds lecture in ISPPO

The Open University of the University of Northern Philippines held a lecture on Investigative Report Writing and Presentation to the newly-designated Police Investigators of the Philippine National Police of Ilocos Sur on October 17, 2024 at the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO) in Bantay.

Dr. Dolores Bersamina, Dean of the Open University, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of acquisition of skill in the preparation, review and evaluation to ensure accurate, comprehensive, and legally admissible reports.

PCol Darnell Dulnuan, Provincial Director of the ISPPO, underscored the importance of the activity to equip the newly-designated Police Investigators to help police officers enhance their performance especially on the reporting which hold an immense value in law enforcement.

PMaj Rodel Ularte, Chief Administrative Resource Management Unit, expressed the rationale of the activity.

Mr. Johnny Allagadan Jr., UNP Information Officer, delivered the lecture. Following the lecture was a workshop where participants prepared sample reports which were critiqued by the lecturer and OU faculty Prof. Lorna Navarro, Dr. Wilson Tolio, and Dr. Loraine Madera, who were also present during the lecture.

The activity of the UNP OU is on account of its memorandum of agreement with ISPPO in the celebration of UNP’s 59th Founding Anniversary.
