The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) once again served as the official testing venue for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) for Academic Year 2025-2026. The test was conducted last August 10 & 11, 2024 at the UNP Gymnasium.

The UPCAT examiners, Ms. Theresa Cayron and Ms. Rosalia Espiritu from UP Diliman, were on-site to oversee the administration of the test. They were supported by a team from UNP, led by Ms. Precious Lyn Cornejo-Babida of the UNP Admission Services Office, who served as the local coordinator and contact person.

The UNP team also included Ms. Eden Ulep, Ms. Jan Christiana Balansi, Ms. Rain Alviar, Ms. Mia Grace Petate, Mr. Herbert Realin, Mr. Roderick Leti, and Mr. Junnard Acenan, who all ensured the smooth conduct of the examination.

To ensure security, the UP Office of Admissions arranged for police assistance from the Vigan Police Station, safeguarding both the test materials and the safety of the personnel and examinees. Additionally, the team also visited the offices of Vice Mayor Randy Singson, University President Erwin F. Cadorna, and VP Rolando B. Navarro.

Ms. Cayron and Ms. Espiritu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality and support they received during their stay at UNP. Under the leadership of Dr. Cadorna, UNP remains committed to its partnership with the University of the Philippines. This ongoing collaboration between UNP and UP plays a vital role in making quality education more accessible to students in the region.
