This year, the University of Northern Philippines garnered numerous awards during the Vigan Longganisa Festival. Among these awards were the following.

Mr. Edmar Paguirigan from the College of Teacher Education, for elementary level and Dr. Remedios Navarro, the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, for tertiary level were awarded as Bigueno Teachers of the Year.
Ms. Rosette Aguinir, from the College of Teacher Education and Mr. Jake Garnace of Senior High School Affairs were also hailed as Champions in the vocal duet competition.

Moreover, the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management made it to the top for the Longganisa Cooking Competition Festival. The team was led by their coach, Dr. Mittessa Inah Reynante, the Assistant Dean of the College.

Finally, the UNP Street dancers bagged 2nd Place for the street dancing competition.
