CAS students attend Research Capability Seminar-Workshop
The 3rd year students of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and Bachelor of Science in Psychology programs gathered for the “Research Capability Seminar-Workshop: Empowering Student Researchers through Strengthening Qualitative Research Skills,” hosted by the Students of Arts and Sciences Organization (SASO), on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the UNP Hostel Function Hall.
Ms. Bonna Mae Gorospe, the Center Chief for Ilokano Studies under the University Research and Development Office served as the resource speaker.
Ms. Gorospe shared her expertise on phenomenology as a research design and expounded the differences and similarities of transcendental phenomenology and hermeneutic phenomenology.
After the lecture, an Open Forum was conducted where students were given an opportunity to ask questions. The seminar served as an opportunity for students to enhance understanding on qualitative research and its methodologies.
